Our Story

Born from a Belief That Trade Changes Everything

Bridge2Africa was founded in Aurora, Colorado, by Nigusse — an Ethiopian-American entrepreneur who had spent two decades witnessing firsthand the gap between Africa's immense economic potential and the hesitancy of Western investors to engage with it.

He saw investors turned away by perceived risk, complexity, and a lack of trusted local knowledge. And he saw African communities with extraordinary resources, talent, and ambition — but without the capital and connections to realise their full potential.

Bridge2Africa was built to close that gap. Not through the transactional lens of aid and charity, but through the enduring, mutual power of trade. From its first project in 2016, the company grew through deep relationships — with government officials, local enterprises, and development institutions — building a pan-African network that now spans 12 nations.
